Soup with ribs, lentils and tomatoes


Hearty aromatic warming soup.
Instead of ribs, you can use any meat on the bone.
Instead of lentils, you can use peas (you need to cook it longer and pre-soak it).
The amount of ingredients is indicated per 4 liter saucepan..
Ingredients

  • 500 g ribs (pork, lamb)
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 500 g grated tomatoes
  • 150 g lentils (I used red)
  • 100 g bacon (I used raw smoked)
  • 150 g onions
  • 150 g carrots
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika (optional)
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation

Pour ribs with water.
Boil.
Cook for 40-45 minutes.

Cut bacon into strips.

Finely chop the onion.

Grate the carrots on a medium grater.

Fry bacon.

Add onion.

Fry.

Add carrots.

Add paprika.

Mix.

Add tomatoes.

Mix.
Simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Cut the potatoes into cubes or sticks.

Add potatoes to the broth.
Cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add lentils.

Salt, pepper.
Cook for 5-7 minutes.

Add tomato dressing.
Cook for 5-7 minutes.
